Sooty & Sweeps

Sooty and Sweep is a platform game for the Commodore Amiga made for kids. Published by Alternative [R&R] in 1992.


Izzy Wizzy lets get Bizzy!
There's always trouble when Matthew goes out. This time he has left Sooty in charge until he returns. Unfortunately Sweep has been up to his old tricks and not only left his dirty old bones all over the house but has left the door to the garden open and all the creepy crawlies have got into the house.
Sooty and Sweep wiil be in big trouble if they don’t clear up all the bones by the time Matthew gets back.

Luckily Sooty has his magic wand out and Sweep his water pistol, (in the 2 player game). They decide to find all the old es and ask Soo to help to collect them. As Sooty and

Sweep collect the bones they give them to Soo who puts them in the basket. Some of the bones have been left in the mast awkward places and Sooty must be very careful when he tries to get them.

The creepy crawlies that are in the house will try to catch Sooty and Sweep. They can be avoided by jumping over them or stunning them with either Sootys magic wand or sweeps water pistol.

Around the house there are useful items to help Sooty and Sweep.

Keys: for locked doors
Sticky Buns: which attact all the bugs in a room
Magic boxes: for re-charging Scottys wand
Bottles of water: for re-filling Sweeps water pistol

This beat ´em-up karate amiga game. Was programed by Allan B. Pedersen, Jim Rankenberg and Kevin Mikkelsen. And developed by Parsec Denmark in 1987.

Tintin on the Moon

This is a Action Adventure game based on the comic book of the same name. Tintin on the Moon was developed by INFOGRAMES/HERGE. Published under licence by Digital integration Ltd. For the Commodore Amiga in 1989.


THE JOURNEY THROUGH SPACE
You must take control of the rocket and take Tintin and his friends to the moon. You must avoid the
meteorites and catch the yellow and red spheres on your way. The yellow spheres stock up your energy
supply. You must catch 8 red spheres to proceed to the next stage.

IN THE ROCKET
Your job ts to guide Tintin through the various rooms in the rocket. You must disarm the bombs, put out
fires, free his companions and catch the dastardly Colonel Boris! You must complete these tasks in order
to proceed to the next stage.

Note: You will first have to get the extinguisher. When empty (it will flash on the left-hand side of the screen),
fetch another one. To take an extinguisher, Tintin must simply touch it.

Waming : In this part of the game, you cannot use a mouse.

In Zero gravity -Tintin floats through the rocket's various compartments. To change his trajectory, use
the joystick or cursor keys just before he bounces off something, keep the direction during the bounce, then
release. To switch from normal to zero gravity (and vice versa), press F1.


COMMANDS TO ACTIVATE THE EXTINGUISHER
To take an extinguisher, Tintin must simply touch it. To activate it aim Tintin in the direction of the fire
and press the fire button or the space bar simultaneously.

THE BOMBS
The bombs set by colonel Boris are indicated at the bottom of the sreen. They are tansferred one by one
into the yellow frame (bottom left comer) as Tintn defuses them. To disarm a bomb, Tintin must simply
touch it. Note: An alarm signal will anounce when a bomb is about to explode.

OTHER ACTIONS POSSIBLE
- To free someone, Tintin has only to touch him (prisoners are indicated in the bottom left border).

- To capture Colonel Bons, Tintin has to sneak up from behind and jump on him! But he can also use the
extinguisher.

MOONLANDING
When you are close enough to start landing procedure, you will momentarily lose control. Take a well-eamed
rest as you sit back and watch the Moon get closer and closer. When the rocket tums round, it is time to
take over the controls again!

To land, you need to brake the speed by regulating the auxillary engine. This last test will allow you to convert
the energy to score...
