Arcade version of the famous movie of the same name. Made by Tiertex and published by Lucasfilm for the commodore amiga in 1989.


Dr. Henry Jones was back in hiding last night after speaking to this reporter about his continued
search for the Holy Grail treasures. New information is believed to have been found by
Dr. Jones on his trip to Europe. __There_was deepening mystery when Dr. Jones vanished from his
home recently after many years of research into the real location of the sacred treasure. Many believed that he had travelled to the Nile Delta but this paper is proud to reveal that he has
found further evidence in Central Europe. While he was not willing to give detailed information, we
believe that the Dr. has found the whereabouts of the famous shield, said to contain the vital directions needed to find the Holy Grail.

What, I asked Dr. Jones, was the Holy Grail? “The chalice used by Christ during the Last Supper” he
replied, “The cup that caught his blood at the Crucifixion and was entrusted to Joseph of Arimathaea.
It disappeared and was lost for a thousand years before being found again by three knights of the First
Crusade, three brothers to be exact.

“One hundred and fifty years AFTER finding the grail, two of the brothers began the journey home
but only one of them made it back. Before dying of extreme old age, the knight told his story to a Franciscan friar. He did not reveal the location of the Holy Grail, but instead  promised the friar that two ‘markers’ had been left to mark the way.

“The first of these markers has recently been discovered, incomplete, in the mountain regions north
of Ankara and is currently in the hands of Mr Walter Donovan, a major contributor to the Old World
Museum.”

The second marker is thought to be buried with the second brother, and it is this marker that Dr. Jones is seeking at this time.

Little mention is made of the third brother by most historians but it is believed by many of them that
he remained behind to become the keeper of the grail. If this is so, then what has happened to him after all these years. Is he still alive?

Dr. Jones, his white beard showing a faint smile on his lips, declined to comment. With that
smile our interview ended and he departed.

Your reporter watched him leave, finished making notes of the conversation, summoned a gondola,
and returned to his hotel to write this report.

GRAIL

‘gradule’, which means step by
step, degree by degree.

There are six degrees or levels of
awareness in the grail quest and
each one is represented by an
animal. The raven was the symbol
of the first degree and represented
the messenger of the grail.

The peacock signified the second
degree and symbolised the search
for immortality.

The sign for the third degree was
the swan to show that the person
who searched for the grail sang a
swan song to selfish and indulgent
ways.

The fourth degree was the
pelican, a bird willing to nurture its
young by wounding its own breast.

The lion, its leadership and
conquest, defined the fifth degree.

The sixth and highest level was
represented by the eagle and was
achieved at the end of the quest to
show knowledge and power gained.

Indiana Jones and the temple of doom

This conversion is Based on 1985 Atari coin-op. Made by Level systems for the commodore Amiga in 1989 and published by Mindscape and U.S. Gold.


PLAYING THE GAME
While on an archeological expedition, Indiana Jones stumbles across the remote village of Mayapore in India. Following the theft of the powerful Sankara Stone which once protected the village and its people, the town lay in ruin and its children are mysteriously missing. Indy discovers the enslaved children are being held captive in the evil Pankot Palace — the home of the Maharajah. Mola Ram, the ruthless High Priest, has forced the children to mine for precious gems and the other missing
Sankara Stones.

indy's adventure begins once he enters the Mine Caverns below the palace where he must free the imprisoned children and escape the Thugee guards. Upon reaching the mine tunnel entrance, Indy hurls down a treacherous course in a rickety mine car, leading him to the Temple of Doom. Once in the Temple, he must retrieve the Sankara Stones encircled by a firey lava pit. After recovering all three Stones, Indy must then escape from the Temple by crossing a perilous rope bridge guarded by the fireball-throwing Mola Ram.

The Game Levels
There are three levels in the game: the Mine Caverns, the Mine Tunnels and the Temple of Doom. Proceed through the first two levels to reach the Temple of Doom, where you must retrieve a Sankara Stone. After you have the stone, a door will open that will take you back to the first level. Proceed through all the levels again to recover another stone. After recovering all three stones, make your escape over the bridge. A "bonus round" is awarded if you escape successfully.

Level 1 — The Mine Caverns
Indy's mission is to work his way through the maze-like Caverns and find the entrance to the Mine Tunnels. To get there he must climb up and down ladders and swing from one ledge to another by wrapping the whip around the swinging posts. Indy also faces a variety of perils while on his journey; bats and snakes can make the going rough. An army of Thuggee guards awaits Indy at every turn. Use the whip to kill snakes and bats, and to stun the Thuggee guards. On the Medium and Hard Routes, watch out for spikes that rise up from the ground. Free the imprisoned children by whipping the locks off their cages. Watch out for Mola Ram, the evil High Priest; he can appear suddenly and send a fireball hurling towards Indy. After recovering a stone, you wilt be transported back to this level, where conveyor belts can move you along quickly. Watch out though, sometimes they move too quickly, or in the wrong direction! On your third pass through the Mine Caverns, you'll have to work your way across rickety bridges teetering over firey lava pits. Commodore and Apple users please note: you will face the conveyor belts the first time throught the Mine Caverns.

Level 2 — The Mine Tunnels
As Indy races down the tracks, he must fight off Thuggee guards while watching out for oil drums, missing tracks and other hazards. Tilt the mine car to the left or right to avoid the hazards on the rails or to change tracks when necessary. Pull back on the joystick to slow down the mine car. Don't make any wrong turns or Indy will never make it to the Temple of Doom.

Level 3 — The Temple of Doom
In the Temple of Doom, Indy has to recover the Sankara Stone located in front of the statue of Kali, the four-armed goddess of death. The statue is on a small island completely surrounded by molten lava. Maneuver Indy around the firey lava pit to reach the trap door that opens and closes. To get the stone, Indy must stand over the trap door while it is closed. Time his run so that he can grab the stone and escape to safety. After he has recovered a stone, he will be transported back to the first level.
Once Indy has retrieved all three stones, he must make his escape over a rope bridge. Watch out, though! Old Mola Ram will try to keep Indy from crossing the bridge by hurling fireballs.

The Scoreboard
The Scoreboard for both players is located on the right-hand side of the screen. The Scoreboard lists points earned, number of children saved, number of stones recovered and number of lives remaining. Extra lives can be earned for each 10,000 points scored. Points are scored for killing snakes and bats, stunning Thuggee guards, rescuing children, and successfully completing a level.

Ski or die

Published by Electronic arts in 1991. Converted to the commodore amiga with no graphical upgrades whatsoever.


Rodney´s slushy ski shack is open for business. But Rod and hos host of inhospitables refuse to let you enjoy the sub-zero ski fest. Because ferocious freaks of nature like chainsaw totin bunnies, punk rock penguins and bodacious polar bears are anxiously waiting to knock your poles out from under you. From the snowboard half pipe to the snowball blast, this arctic adventure will have you wishing you were back at the chalet exchanging fondue recipes with a thick-necked man named Gunther.

But bogus moguls are only half your headaches. Because twisted lester and his lucky lawn dart are looking to pop the wind out of your sails in the inner tube thrash. And if you´re cool enough to avoid getting Lester´s point, you´ll get a chance to impress the fickle judges in the downhill blitz and the acro aerials (sorry, no hog-calling competitions). So start waxing those skis if you plan on seeing the light of summer again. Because you can either backflip, pike or helicopter your way into the world record book... or a body cast.

Ghosts 'N Goblins

Ghosts 'N Goblins is made for the commodore Amiga in 1990. It is the authentic home computer version of the classic coin-operated arcade game from Capcom. Authors of best sellers including the world beating commando and 1942.

Super Oswald

After the super success Oswald of the ice floes. From the Danish company SilverRock Productions (renamed as Interactive Television Entertainment in 1992), is a Copenhagen-based Danish company founded in 1988. Super Oswald was released in 1989, made game for the commodore amiga.


Everyone knows TV2's Super Oswald and his friend Super Oswaldline. 2 teddy bears to deal with packs, screaming icebirds, disgusting Eskimos, whales, watering holes, money and bombs.
Now you have the chance to join the battle for glory, in this giga version of the popular Danish TV2 game.
Here you have the opportunity to choose to play against the computer, or with a friend. Press F1 to play against the computer and F3 to play against your mate.
You can use either 2 joysticks or 1 joystick and keynoard. Oswald is controlled from port 2 (joystick only) and Oswaldline from port 1 with joystick or keyboard with the following keys:
CTRL = left
2 = right
1 = up
Now, just jump from ice flake to ice flake, gather everything you can in front of your opponent's nose, and get over the finish line first.
If you have completed the first level with more than 10 packages, you have the chance to become super Oswald / Oswaldline.
Here you have 40 seconds to collect as much money as possible.

Oswald

Aka Oswald of the ice floes. Is a Danish made game for the commodore amiga. Developed and published by SilverRock in 1988. SilverRock Productions (renamed as Interactive Television Entertainment in 1992), is a Copenhagen-based Danish company founded in 1988.


It was made for the Danish television station TV2. For use live in the friday prime time program Eleva2ern. The viewers would then call in to the tv station, and play Oswald live. The game was made so the player had controlle over Oswald, by pushing 4 and 6 on a push-button telephone.

A year later Super Oswald was made for Eleva2ren (1989). Both games was such huge success, that in 1992 came HUGO. Based on the same concept as Oswald and Super Oswald.

Renegade

This TAITO conversion is based on the 1986 TAITO coin-op. Released for the commodore Amiga in 1989.


The Streets aren't safe! . . . Night falls swiftly as you make your way through the most sinister part of town to collect your girl. So far so good . . . your train pulls into the subway station, alighting you realise you are not alone!

The station, and the streets above are infested with thugs and villains . . . time is short so you must negotiate these areas to meet your girl as arranged. Quick thinking and martial art skills are the only abilities you have to depend upon and you disembark knowing that this is going to be the most dangerous walk of your life!

There are five stages to negotiate, first the tube station, where you will meet a gang of muggers intent on terminating your journey right there. The next stage takes you through the pier area, known to be a popular meeting place for motorcycle gangs. The third area is the sleezy back streets of town; female gangs stalk the streets in search of any unwitting male who may try and infringe their territory. Next, is the street leading up to your meeting place; a vicious gang of razor-wielding thugs have been known to taunt any innocent passer by just for kicks.

Finally you enter your arranged meeting place, but beware—the last gang you have subdued had called reinforcements who will be lying in wait, together with their leaderarmed with a gun! Prove that love can overcome all by conquering these villains in time for your date!
